Base Construction
	The frame was built with Aspen.  I extended the dimensions of the plan by one foot so rather than 5 X 4 the layout will now be 6 X 4.  I believe this layout will be transported to train shows and conventions and the extra foot will not impede the transport since the vehicle that will be used is a pickup truck.  I used some lath to give the Blue Board something to sit on in the frame.
The Blue Board was first glued to a sheet of tempered Masonite just in the event that something will have to be attached to the bottom of the layout such as turnout machines.  Once the Blue Board was in place I ran a bead of Liquid Nails along the bottom to keep it rigid and prevent movement.
Here is the Framework on my mobile bench.  Track laying will be next.
