The Gonta Hellenback Engine House was built from a photo in a book about the Canadian National. It is completely scratchbuilt right down to the hinges on the doors. I did utilize Grandt Line Windows and castings from Fine Scale Miniatures and SS Limited. This model now resides on Bob Gomper's layout in Jupiter, FL. When I disassembled my layout I gave a lot of my structures to friends so that they could be used and enjoyed by others. The tunnel portals in the background were also scratchbuilt from wood that I recovered from an old packing crate that came from Africa. The wood is mahogany! |
